NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has captured stunning images of black holes, revealing their energy and interactions with surroundings. These images show supermassive black holes at galaxy centers that occasionally release energy bursts.

Using NASA's James Webb Space Telescope, Northwestern astrophysicists gained the longest, most detailed glimpse yet of the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way.
