CHARLOTTE — Charlotte football is parting ways with head coach Biff Poggi, the school announced Monday evening. Poggi carried a 6-16 overall record and 4-10 record in American Athletic Conference play. The 49ers have lost their last four games and lost to South Florida at home on Saturday, 59-24.

Poggi was in his second season leading the team. He went 3-9 in 2023 and was off to a 3-6 start this season after battling a myriad of injuries early in the year. He took over the Charlotte program after serving on Jim Harbaugh's support staff at Michigan.
