After missing most of the 2024 season due to blood clots, Christian Barmore made his return to the field on Sunday against the Rams.

One especially valuable resource for Barmore was Patriots center David Andrews, who missed the entire 2019 season after doctors found blood clots in his lungs. Andrews, who is on injured reserve after undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery, was able to share his unique perspective with the young defender.

Barmore had a breakout year in 2023 and signed a big contract to stay in New England before he was sidelined by the diagnosis.
