All 67 games across both stages of the Emirates NBA Cup will count toward the regular-season standings except the Championship. Each team will continue to play 82 regular-season games in the 2024-25 season, including those games that are part of Group Play and the Knockout Rounds.

The NBA Cup is back for a second season, and here’s how it will all work and what groups each team ended up in.

The Emirates NBA Cup (formerly the NBA In-Season Tournament) is the league’s annual in-season competition, which provides players and teams to chase another championship, engages fans in a new way and drives additional interest in the early portion of the regular-season schedule.

The NBA Cup continues with 12 games on Friday night. The tournament runs through Dec. 17. It was called the In-Season Tournament last year when it debuted, after years and years of Commissioner Adam Silver wanting to add something extra to the regular season.
