The Fourth of July holiday weekend could include a subtropical or tropical depression from near Florida to off the Southeast coast.

A disturbance off the coast of the southeast United States – east of Florida, near Georgia and South Carolina – became better organized Friday to become Tropical Depression 3. It was previously known as Invest 92L.

A Tropical Depression has just formed off the Atlantic Coast. The National Hurricane Center said at 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 4 that the system is located about 100 miles off the northeast Florida coast and is now called Tropical Depression Three.
