Prince Harry took the stage at the Invictus Games closing ceremony, delivering emotional remarks to the athletes who competed in Vancouver and Whistler.

Prince Harry had a Royal Family reunion on Saturday, Feb. 15, when he was joined by Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark at an Invictus Games event. However, the Duke of Sussex reportedly faced a security threat while attending a sitting volleyball game at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Shannon has participated in several Invictus Games sports including snowboarding, seated volleyball, wheelchair basketball, rowing and swimming, and described his experience meeting Harry and Meghan Markle as “humbling.”

King Charles discussed sports tournaments - including the Invictus Games - just days after the 2025 competition ended in Canada. The King's youngest son, Prince Harry, 40, founded the Invictus Games in 2014 for injured and sick servicemen and women as well as veterans to give them a chance to compete in adaptive sports.

King Charles has made his feelings clear as he spoke about the Invictus Games during a visit to Imperial College London's Centre for Injury Studies on Wednesday, where he met with former Army captain and parasport athlete David Henson.
