Police in Norway have arrested the 27-year-old son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit on suspicion of rape, saying the alleged victim was "unable to resist the act."

Marius Borg Hoiby, 27, is under arrest for suspicion of rape involving someone who was unconscious and otherwise incapable of resisting the act, Norway Police announced on Tuesday.

Marius Borg Høiby, the 27-year-old son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, was arrested in Oslo on suspicion of rape, police said.

The eldest son of Norway ’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit has been arrested again, this time on suspicion of rape, police said on Tuesday. Marius Borg Høiby is the stepson of the heir to the Norwegian throne, Crown Prince Haakon, and the son of Mette-Marit from a previous relationship. He has no royal title or official duties.

He was taken into custody on Monday in Oslo on a preliminary charge of having sexual intercourse with someone unconscious or unable to resist the act.
