The Massachusetts man who donated the Christmas tree​ that will soon be lit in Rockefeller Center​ is recovering after suffering a stroke and a friend said he could use some holiday cheer.

The Berkshire County man who donated the holiday tree for Rockefeller Center is making “baby steps” in his recovery from a stroke, according to his family. Earl Albert, of West Stockbridge, donated this year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.

For the first time since 1959, this year's Rockefeller Center tree comes from Massachusetts - West Stockbridge, to be exact. It was a donation from Michael Albert and his family, who are residents of the town. As of this morning (Nov. 12), the tree was set into position, where it will soon be decorated for the holiday season.
