Diane Ladd, the three-time Oscar nominated actress best known for her sharp wit in “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” and for raising another Hollywood star, Laura Dern, has died. She was 89. Dern announced her mother’s death in a statement, saying she was at Ladd’s side in her home in Ojai, Calif. at the time of her death.
