JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — The aurora could be visible across Canada and much of the northern tier of U.S. states — and possibly further south — Monday night following a major disturbance in the Earth’s magnetic field, a forecast shows.
Aurora borealis sightings were reported as far south as Arkansas and Alabama on Monday night thanks to a severe geomagnetic storm.
Sky gazers across Metro Vancouver could catch a glimpse of the northern lights tonight, but they may need the foggy weather to cooperate.
