The United States lifted export restrictions on exports of chip design software to China, a trio of chip design software companies said.

The deal involves loosening exports of rare earths to the United States and the lifting of some restrictions on U.S. goods to China, China’s Ministry of Commerce said.

Cadence Design Systems said on Thursday the U.S. had lifted export restrictions on chip design software for China and that it was in the process of restoring access to software and technology to affected customers.
