Met Éireann is warning that 'significant snowfall accumulations' can be expected in parts of Limerick this Wednesday night as the first cold snap of the winter continues. The forecaster has upgraded an earlier status yellow snow/ice warning for Munster and says heavy snowfall is now likely overnight in five counties, including Limerick.

A Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning has been issued for the entire country and snow in southern counties as temperatures continue to plummet.
