The Chicago Bears improbably lost another game on the final play Sunday, as Cairo Santos's go-ahead field goal attempt was blocked by the Green Bay Packers. The 20-19 loss drops Chicago to 4-6 on the year and has brought head coach Matt Eberflus under heavy fire for his late-game decision-making.

Moving on from now former offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and naming Thomas Brown as the new coordinator has made it a chaotic week for the Chicago Bears, especially midseason. It doesn't help that these changes are coming on the week in which the team is preparing to play their bitter rival, Green Bay Packers.

Fast forwarding to Sunday afternoon, Eberflus could be on the same path. The Bears showed promise after five of their final eight games to finish last season with a 7-10 record and were able to select Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 draft, acquired in a trade with the Carolina Panthers for the first pick in the 2023 draft.
