Heat star Norman Powell has a message for the team after losing to the Magic again, saying how they can't keep making excuses.

Powell supplied 21 points (7-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), one assist and two steals in 30 minutes during Thursday's 116-113 victory over the Bulls.

The Heat were teaching a new offense, a method unlike others Powell had played. The team doesn’t set many screens, though it has added more throughout this season, especially since the beginning of January. Still, the attack is predicated on drives, kickouts, swings around the perimeter, cuts and replacing those cutters.

The star guard is expected to play the second part of the Heat 's back-to-back set Thursday. Over his last nine outings, Powell has averaged 20.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.2 three-pointers in 30.4 minutes per game.
