Vanderbilt was the better 3-point shooting team, making 10-of-24 to TAMU’s 7-of-22. The Aggies won the glass 44-36 rebounds but committed more turnovers (12-9). Vandy got 40 points from its bench to Texas A&M’s 18 points. The Aggies scored more in the paint (32-24).

Tyler Nickel scored 21 points on a career-high seven 3-pointers and Vanderbilt held on to upset No. 12 Texas A&M 86-84 in the Southeastern Conference nailbiter in College Station, Texas, on Wednesday.
