The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed QB John Wolford and WR Louis Rees-Zammit to the active roster, the team announced today. Wolford originally signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in August 2018.

Louis Rees-Zammit did not consider returning to rugby despite interest from various clubs as he continues pursuing his dream of making it in the NFL after signing a new contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Getting second opportunity

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Louis Rees-Zammit says he has "never thought about" returning to play rugby union.

Rees-Zammit will again compete among 90 players for a place in the Jaguars' 53-strong squad for the NFL season, which starts in September. The 24-year old can also stay a member of their practice squad because of rules around his transition via the sport's International Player Programme.
