Several Palestinian homes caught fire on Monday after Israeli army fire in Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip, witnesses said. According to witnesses, Israeli drones and tanks opened fire towards central Rafah, setting several homes ablaze. Israeli army fire was also reported in the eastern parts of Gaza City, but no injuries were reported.
Israeli warplanes bombed a target in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, on Monday evening. “Fighter jets bombed two rocket launch sites in Gaza, including one that fired a projectile earlier today,” the Israeli army claimed on Monday.

Red Cross ambulances have arrived in Gaza’s southernmost city of Rafah in preparation for the handover of six Israeli hostages to be freed on Saturday under the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal.
