Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin had previously suggested that the third launch of the mega-rocket would take the space company's robotic lunar lander to the moon.

SpaceX lit up the night sky over Vandenberg Space Force Base today (Jan. 22) with the launch of 25 more satellites for its Starlink broadband internet service.

The lunar crescent will disappear below the horizon before midnight on Jan. 22.

The satellites were deployed in their intended orbits just over an hour after launch.
