MagicCon truly lives up to its name as a convention. For one weekend, fans of Wizard of the Coast’s Magic: The Gathering tabletop card game come together to celebrate one of their favorite pastimes.

According to the announcement, MTG Avatar: The Last Airbender will be hitting shelves on November 21. It's unclear what the set will involve in terms of products, but we can probably expect something similar to the Assassin's Creed crossover last year. (Play and Collector boosters at a minimum, in other words.)

A brief teaser video gave a quick glimpse of the characters and art that will feature in the set, but no cards were unveiled at the panel. The Avatar expansion will launch November 21, while Final Fantasy is scheduled for June and Spider-Man is still awaiting its release date.

As November 21, 2025, approaches, fans of both Magic: The Gathering and Avatar: The Last Airbender are marking their calendars. This crossover represents more than just a game expansion – it’s a celebration of two beloved universes coming together in an epic collision of creativity and strategy.

But tucked away at the end was a little treat for fans of the Universes Beyond crossovers—the announcement of an Avatar: The Last Airbender set, due in November this year. Now I'm a bit too old to know much about Avatar: The Last Airbender except that it's got nothing to do with James Cameron's Avatar and also we don't talk about the M.

The trailer features the MTG logo doing some impressive airbending, with the familiar sounds of the show’s original opening in the background. And the caption understood the assignment, as it begins with the well-known line “Long ago, the four nations lived in harmony, but everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.”
