Person dead after collision with BART train at Civic Center station
SAN FRANCISCO — A person died early Tuesday in what BART officials said appears to be a collision with a train on the tracks at the Civic Center station. BART spokesperson Jim Allison confirmed the fatality at 10 a.m., about 75 minutes after the emergency first was reported.
Equipment problems were causing major delays on BART Thursday morning across the system, according to transit officials.
