Angel Yin had a five-shot lead going into the final round of the Honda LPGA Thailand and an 80.7 percent chance to win. Yet, it was anything but an easy Sunday stroll at the Siam Country Club. Yin’s 28-under-par total 260 (67-64-64-65) is the lowest winning score in the history of the LPGA, topping Annika Sorenstam’s previous record by a shot set in 2001. She earned $255,000 for the first-place check from an overall $1.70 million purse.

Angel Yin's second career victory came in record fashion and not without a little drama. The 26-year-old American held off a hard-charging Akie Iwai, who closed with an 11-under 61, to win the Honda LPGA Thailand by a single stroke.
