(Reuters) -Six high-ranking Armenian officials resigned on Monday, Russia's Interfax news agency reported, after Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he had asked a number of them to step down from their positions.

Armenian Investigative Committee Chairman Argishti Kyaramyan resigned today citing “recent internal re-evaluations of the situation surrounding the operation of the general law enforcement system.”

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in a statement on Monday that he had asked a number of high-ranking officials to step down from their positions.
