A snowmobile rider is now safe after he was “fully buried” by an avalanche — and his rescue was captured on camera.

A natural avalanche was captured on camera along I-70 in Frisco, Colorado, on Monday, February 17, triggered by heavy snow and severe weather conditions.

A large avalanche on Colorado's Loveland Pass swept a car off the road. There were no reports of any injuries.

A snowmobiler was rescued after being buried in an avalanche, Colorado officials said. On Feb. 17, the snowmobiler was caught in an avalanche on Shrine Mountain in Vail Pass, according to an accident report by the Colorado Avalanche Information Center.

The slide happened on Gravel Mountain near Grand Lake just before 2:30 p.m. The Colorado Avalanche Information Center said that three or four people were caught in the avalanche, but were able to get out on their own or with the help of bystanders. It is believed to have been triggered by a snowmobile.
