The House passed its Trump-backed budget bill Tuesday after a battle with hardliner holdouts concerned over the level of spending cuts.

The House on Tuesday evening began voting on a budget resolution that would lay the framework for President Donald Trump's agenda, extending Trump's 2017 tax cuts and boosting defense spending in exchange for trillions in spending curbs—but GOP divisions could imperil the bill, which marks the first major test of the new Congress.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) just cast the deciding vote for President Donald Trump’s budget bill on behalf on Rep. David Schweikert (R-Arizona). Schweikert handed Johnson his voting card. Johnson cast the vote, and handed it back. That was the vote that put Republicans over the top.
