The UConn men’s basketball team suffered a blow out loss at Madison Square Garden Sunday afternoon, falling to No. 10 St. John’s, 89-75.

(WFSB) - The UConn men lost a rare game at Madison Square Garden, losing to St. John’s 89-75. St. John’s midway thru the first went on a 10-0 run to take a 4 point lead. The Huskies, behind Taris Reed Jr, took a 2 point lead. St. John’s pressure forced 3 straight UConn turnovers and the Red Storm went on a 16-2 run, leading 35-22.

The Long Island native covered 16 Olympics, and had cameos in the movie “Cool Runnings” and the TV show “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”
