Southampton manager Ivan Juric has confirmed Jan Bednarek will miss out against Chelsea with fatigue. Bednarek, who had started the previous 11 Premier League matches in a row for Southampton, was withdrawn after just 12 minutes against Brighton at the weekend.

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has backed goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen following an error that resulted in Chelsea losing to Aston Villa.

The 25-year-old, back in the first-team picture after being recalled from Crystal Palace, was being assessed on Sunday with Maresca initially confident he had avoided serious injury. Chelsea vs Southampton kicks off at 8pm on Tuesday 25 February.
