Maharashtra saw 45.53% voter turnout by 3 pm in its 288-member state legislative assembly elections, with Gadchiroli leading at 62.99%. In the Nanded Lok Sabha bypoll, 41.58% participated. Key political players include the BJP-led Mahayuti and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi.

Voting for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections commenced on Wednesday at 7 am, covering all 288 constituencies in a single phase. With 4,136 candidates, including 2,086 independents, competing for seats, the election has set the stage for an intense political battle.

After successful completion of the voting process in both the states -- Maharashtra and Jharkhand -- the exit polls by various agencies and media organisations will be released Wednesday evening. The exit polls will go live after 6:30 pm,
